Do We Miss Opportunities To Become Famous By Morning?

With advances in technologies, communication and media there has never been a better time or a plethora of tools to advance yourself by self promotion.

From the fax machine to camera phones, from video cameras to webcams, there is a host of inexpensive ways to transmit your image globally if you want.

Then there are the various media outlets. From community and cable television to video broadcast sites like YouTube. Even by combining the two in a sense you can start yourself a WebTV show.

So with all these resources at your our fingertips why aren't more people taking advantage of the tools available to them?

The answer is simple and can be summed up in one word... Excuses.

You may find yourself saying a number of things like:

• I don't have the time
• Not enough money
• I have to look after the kids
• I haven't got the knowledge
• No one will help me etc.

Sounds harsh using the word excuses, so maybe putting it in the terms of Tony Robbins would be preferable "rather than there be a lack of resources, it shows a lack of resourcefulness".

Why at times can a single mother of two children succeed in a business run from home when a married woman with no need to work says she hasn't got the time? Why can a man with limited schooling from a harsh upbringing create a million dollar business when another of affluent parentage spends half his time in rehab?

Successful people use their resourcefulness and know instinctively to take opportunities when they arrive.

Successful people don't make excuses rather they look for solutions.

Successful people don't look to avoid or divert blame; rather they take responsibility for their actions and learn from them.

No experience can be called bad if you are able to take something positive from it. Questioned about his 1000 failed experiments leading to his invention of the electric light bulb, Thomas Edison was asked "What was it like to fail a thousand times?" He replied he hadn't failed. He had "discovered a thousand ways it didn't work."

Opportunities come about when you are not looking for them so you need to attune your mind to be open for them. Not be fearful of them and not dismiss them too readily.

Opportunities come about through trial and error. If you don't try anything you will never know what can work.

So be bold, be vigilant and be ready to become Famous By Morning!
