For men there is only three types of birth control; condoms, withdrawal, and a vasectomy. Condoms is the believed to be the most usually used. This is because for men they are more dependable when compared to withdrawal and less dreaded then a vasectomy.

But a vasectomy is not entirely out of the question for many men. It would seem that older men are pondering this method. They have already had a few children and they would love to enjoy their time with their wife and family without anymore more kids. A vasectomy is a surgical operation that trims away the vasa deferentia. Cutting this prevents the sperm from moving to the seminal stream.

A vasectomy is an easier and less expensive method when comparing it to a hysterectomy in a woman. During the more simplest form of this process the surgeon will make two small slices at the scrotum - which will permit them to view the vas deferens. These are cut and sealed with stitches.

The recovery time for this procedure is ordinarily two to five days though health experts are trying to find new ways of editing this time. There is a method of no scalpel vasectomy during which a hemostat is used instead of a scalpel.

When the vasectomy has been performed the testes will be left in the scrotum where the Leydig cells will have the power to still make testosterone and other of the required hormones that a man needs. Still, the sperm will no longer have the power to leave the body by way of the man's body part even though the testicles will continue to develop them. Alternatively the body will break them down and absorb them.

Numerous times this type of male birth control will only cost close to $500 to $1,000 for everything. It can be complete inside the doctors clinic and normally will only take a few days to mend. The physician will set up a follow up appointment where they will test to find out if the sperm is being held correctly and all of the extra sperm has been removed from the body.

Before your follow up visit it is recommended that you abstain from sexual relations because of the sperm that may still be left through the mans private part. Otherwise you may find out that you have a baby surprise. This procedure is able to be lifted in particular men.
