Alongside having a career it is also necessary to stop, take time out and think about what kind of life you are leading. At times what one is doing is nothing but rushing between meetings and feeling happy about it, but it's equally exhausting. So what is the kind of life that one wants?

Try and figure out what you like the most. Family members and friends can provide support during troubling times but once in a while, take out time to undertake adventure, fun, and care-freeness, which will make you'realize that there is much work than work in life. Appreciate and understand what is happening around you by taking out more time.

It is not always the best solution to reinvent yourself; you still need to figure out ways to simplify your life. Figure out what is most valuable to you, focus your life on those core principles, and do away with the mess that doesn't contribute to your life's objectives. Firstly, think of what really matters and before you simplify that, you need to zero in on what determines a good quality life.

Simplification of life may be contradictory to the thought of consumer centric life. We tend to amass a lot of stuff over a period of time and the society thinks that we find happiness in material belongings. This is not only about material possessions. Material activities also can be satisfying to some. We start behaving like pack of rats that race from one experience to another. Even though we feel wanted and important, we aren't necessarily satisfied.

What has emerged out of this stuff is a movement towards simplicity. When we keep working constantly, we behave like a hamster on a wheel. Most of our salary is consumed due to our expenses and we save only a portion. We should remember that life is short.

You need to come up with an objective that will make you happy and content. This same principle can be applied to your day to day routine. Try and take out time on a daily basis for new opportunities. Leverage time management which means one needs to do lesser things of higher importance. At the end of the day, simple living is all about a philosophy.

Simple living means a way to unburden one's life, so that we can live more lightly and cleanly. This helps us create full, simple, and tangential relationships with all the dimensions in our lives: including the activities we do, relationships with the world around us and the connects with the society outside. Simply put, it is a way of living that is straightforward outside and rich inside.

For a lot of people, simple living translates into basic activities like garden management, afternoon walk in the garden or reading books. The end objective is to decrease earthly possessions and to ensure that you are never in a hurry. By doing away with the disturbances in life, one can focus on the world outside. For some people, living life is all about earning money and amassing wealth and authority. For people who have done the reverse, know that people need good things in life like time to think, introspect and play. Happiness is much beyond power and material possessions.
