The Last Shot: Amusing charade, empowered by a real tale, telling the story of an FBI man (Baldwin) who makes believe to produce a film so he can trap a mobster with ties to the Teamsters union. Baldwin starts to like his "role" as a movie producer, as he turns his idea into reality. The Delinquents: Intriguingly poor exploitation drama in regards to a fine boy who becomes part of a local gang since lady friend is too young to go steady. This is Altman's first film, made in Kansas City, with Julia Lee singing "Muddy Rock Boogie." Cast includes Tom Laughlin, Peter Miller, Richard Bakalyan, Rosemary Howard, and Helene Hawley. Educating Rita: This is an amusing adaptation of Willy Russell's level play in reference to a youthful working class spouse who desires to better herself, and chooses boozy professor Caine as her mentor. Walters is phenomenal in her film debut performing her role and Caine has one of his best roles as her mentor. Cast includes Michael Caine, Julie Walters, Michael Williams, Maureen Lipman, Jeananne Crowley, and Malcolm Douglas. (110 minutes,'83)
From Justin to Kelly: Drink sunscreen rather than sitting through this insipid lyrical piece made for Television's American Hero megastars, which finds them trying to make a love connection throughout Miami spring break. No one was anticipating Shakespeare, however there's less weight here than in an Archie comic magazine. Cast includes Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini, Katherine Bailess, Anika Noni Rose, Greg Siff, Brian Dietzen, and Jason Yribar. (81 minutes, 2003)
The Priests Wife: Hardly amusing blend of drama and humor with Loren as a disenchanted singer who imagines she could persuade pastor Mastroianni to acquire discharge from his promise of celibacy and wed her. Weightier addressing of this topic might be heard on talk shows. Cast includes Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Venantino Venantini, Jacques Stany, Pippo Starnazza, and Augusto Mastrantoni. Belizaire the Cajun: Assante is well cast as a charismatic drug dealer in love with a Cajun woman who is the spouse of a prosperous Englishman. This is a choppy and somehow unsurprising drama in reference to the English prejudice and brutality toward the Cajuns in'th century Louisiana. The Music of Chance: A thriller in regards to telepathic, suicidal Ivanek, powerless to command his powers, who moves his bad dreams to psychiatrist Harrold and causes chaos in a clinic.
