How To Make This Year Your Happiest Year

Being a self-proclaimed "Life Simplifier," I have fought the urge to blog for quite a while now because keeping up a blog doesn't fit my idea of "simple living." Recently, however, I've felt the need to share the abundance of "simple living inspiration" I have experienced.

I have gone through a personal transformation over the past several months, as have many of my clients. It's truly amazing the shift that's happening on this planet right now. I LOVE it! More people than ever are finding and living their life purpose. We are getting back to simple and purposeful living.

Let's look back, for a moment, at the 80's. It was the beginning of "big" (big hair, big houses, big SUV's, big busy lives) and then came the 90's (along with more wealth). Consumerism became bigger, along with rise of the mega-malls, big work weeks, even bigger cars, and mic-mansions. In the midst of our big complicated lives, many of us lost the sense of purpose, became aloof and disconnected from friends, loved ones, our beautiful planet, and from spirituality. Yes, even churches got bigger but spirituality was, in my opinion, lost.

Then came the sugar high crash (as I like to call it). Corporate corruption, stock market and real estate crash, war, health care crises, the realization that we are making our planet sick, and so on. Many people found themselves lost, distraught, and even depressed.

As a result, we are finally starting to get to the good stuff. To overcome adversity, personal growth is usually required and millions of people across the world are choosing to transform their lives and the result is much happier people!

Many are downsizing their homes, choosing more simple schedules, eliminating waste and finding the life that aligns with their purpose. I have clients that have given up (or lost) high paying jobs they hated, reduced the amount of "stuff" they own by two thirds, traded in their gas-guzzler or eliminated a vehicle altogether, and started businesses they love, offering services that people value. As a result, their lives are considerably simpler-they get enough sleep, exercise, quality time with people they love, and LOVE what they do for work. Do you think any of these people miss their big house and big paycheck?

Simplifying people's homes, lives, and schedules, so they can get down to being truly happy and living their life purpose is what I absolutely LOVE to do. I started this blog to hopefully inspire those who are ready to transform their lives and experience happy, simple living.

May this be your best year yet!

"To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life." ~Jim Burroughs
