Just about any store you go to probably has at least one or two drink vending machines inside or outside the building. Most consumers drink more than they actually eat, and a well-placed vending machine can fulfill their needs and turn a reasonable profit all at the same time. If you are running a retail business, having at least one machine inside or outside your store can give your place a business a welcome feeling and help promote branch loyalty. Both are things that are absolutely necessary to stay afloat in today's business world.
If you are just looking for a machine for the office, a model that offers only a few drinks simply displays them in the window is the minimum you will need. You may want to consider a large drink vending machine for your employees so that they do not get bored of having the same drinks day in day out, which will deter them from purchasing in the long run. If you give them more options, the more options they will choose to buy.
Placing a vending machine on display for customers is another issue altogether, so figuring out exactly what to put in them, where to set them up, and what to offer is important. Many models today offer things that the old standards could never have done.
Whenever you go into a retail store, you probably see the most common vending machines somewhere. Specifically, this is the kind with the large and illuminated image of the brand of drinks being sold. These vending machines are so common for a reason: they are effective at enticing the customer in. Unfortunately for you, that is all they really can do. You may find that several of these drink vending machines do not come with LED displays, and even more of them have to no way to print out the sales history. So these machines are effective at pulling the customer in, but they are not good at much else.
Don't feel tethered to vending machines that sell drinks in cans or bottles. There is a whole range of models on the market that can brew and sell coffee and other made-to-order drinks. These are more expensive to purchase initially, but they also turn more profits in the long run. In general, consumers love them and employees also enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee on their breaks once in a while. Whether or not they would be genuinely profitable in your location is up to your discretion. Brewing and made to order machines can turn a profit in some areas, while in other areas they could barely make any money.
It might seem difficult to come to a decision on which drink vending machines to set up at your location, especially if the purchasing habits of your current customers are a bit of a mystery to you. If you are simply having one set up in an office it is not so difficult, but customers are finicky and are the true driving force behind a vending machine's success. Take a good look at any machines that you think would do well at your location and do some extra research on demographics to determine which type will be best.
