If you'read through Bible, you will probably notice dream is always used by God for communication with his people. No one has seen God but they had a real direct touch with God in their dreams. God reveals to his people things in past, present and in the future. Let us understand more about spiritual dreams from the very beginning of the world and the Bible, and that is Genesis.

In Gen 15:12, Abram had a deep sleep when the sun was going down. The Lord said to Abram that his seed should be stronger in the land that was not theirs and they should serve them. They should afflict them four hundred years. That was what happened later that the Israel people served the Egyptian for four hundred years.

Mentioned in Gen 20:3 was the dream related to Abraham also but not to Abraham. Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah, Abraham's wife without actually that she was his wife. But God came to Abimelech in a dream in the night, and said to him: "Truly you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken; for she is a man's wife." Abimelech in the next morning gave Abraham back his wife, and let Abraham said a prayer for him, so his life was safe.

Gen 28:10, Jacob was in the way to Haran and he slept by making the stones as his pillow. He saw a ladder in his dream, which reached the heavens at its top. He heard God said to him that his seed should be as the dust of the earth. In addition, his seed should spread to the west, east, north and south. God told him that he is with him. Jacob then woke up and said surely the lord was in this place.

Gen 31:10, In Jacob's times, he had married to Rachel who was the daughter of Laban the Syrian. God saw what Laban had done to his servant Jacob. An angel of God talked to Jacob is his dream and told him to leave Laban with all his ringstreatked, speckled and grisled cattle. Later, Jacob rose up and left Laban together with his sons and wives.

Gen 31:24, when Laban the Syrian knew that Jacob ran away with his daughters and cattle, he quickly pursued after him for seven days to the mount Gilead. God said to Laban through a dream telling him not to speak the good or bad of Jacob.

Dream is certainly God's way of communication. There are more scriptures in Genesis talking about dreams especially those for Joseph. When you'read through the scriptures about dreams, do believe in God would like to talk to you through dreams.
