A patient's objective is to stop their panic attacks. How to stop panic attacks? This can give you different answers to the question. Treatments vary due to the level of the panic disorder. Although mild panic disorders do not require medication, self-motivation techniques are advised.

Techniques to help you stop panic attacks:

Breathing techniques - this technique will help you motivate yourself from negative thinking into a positive outlook. Breathing stimulates your body during an attack and helps to stop the attack. This technique relaxes and calms your down back into a normal condition.

Exercise - choosing exercises that are fun and enjoyable. Avoid exercises that you think are boring to perform, they will not have any effect on you. Exercise motivates your mind and body to function properly. Therefore it is very important to exercise regularly. This will help you achieve your goal to fully recover from a panic disorder.

Sleeping hours - adequate sleeping hours are good for your body, boosts immune system and helps your mind to relax and stay focused. Any treatment you chose, good sleeping will increase its effectiveness. Keep yourself motivated, it will alleviate your healing capability.

Maintain the above mentioned self-treatment techniques. It doesnt just reduce your chances of panic attacks, but it increases your recovery as well.

Another treatment that is effective is changing your eating habits. Eat similar hours and amounts each day. Make sure the foods you eat are the foods that will nourish your body.
