Exercises With A Difference At A Fitness Boot Camp

The concept of first impression being the last impression is totally based on an individuals appearance. A slim, smart and fit person would, more often make a better impression than a bulky, obese one. Therefore, losing weight has become a primary motive among the majority of the college goers and workaholics, who indulge in junk food consumption. Alongside, they avoid exercising that would have burned out the excess calories. For such people, a fitness boot camp is the perfect method of losing weight and maintaining a perfect body as it does not demand long span of time periods to achieve satisfactory results.

The training given to the military personnel on the initial days of their work out session is generally refereed to as boot camp. The advantage of boot camp over all the others is that it does not require the use of any artificial, mechanical training equipment that are seen in gymnasiums to reduce calories. The burning of fat is achieved by intensive work outs in the form of jogging, running and interval training. The primary motive of a boot camp is the increment of the general fitness levels of the individual. This is done in order to increase his/her cardiovascular activity.

The difference between going to a gym and registering in a boot camp is that a gym concentrates only on the fitness of a single person in his/her preferred time. A boot camp, on the other hand, involves exercises to be performed in a large group. In the presence of other people, there is the element of constant scrutinizing. This leads to an increased amount of motivation on the part of the individual camper. This is absolutely lacking in a gym. As a result, people often lose their spirit and enthusiasm in a gym, due to lethargy. Hence, all the money spent goes waste with no effective result.

The activities that constitute a boot camp are much more interesting than the exercises performed at a gym. For instance, running on a rough terrain provides greater results than running on a treadmill. In short, boot camp involves activities that seem more like a game, thereby making the entire process interesting and effective. A gym makes use of expensive equipments that makes the process monotonous and drab.

Another factor that adds to the element of charm of the boot camp is the socialization factor. Since the entire work out process takes place in a group, every member gets to meet new people and make acquaintances. This develops the team spirit where men and women join to work towards to their respective goals.

In order to achieve the maximum result in a boot camp exercise, the intensity with which the exercises are performed should be high. Scientific researches show that a high intensity exercise burns fat which is 9 times more than steady aerobic exercise. High Intensity exercises aids in the rapid burn of calories by reducing the level of glycogen entering the muscles. Practice of high intensity exercise is responsible for putting the body in a fight or flight situation so that the body is forced to change for means of survival. Mobilization of stored body fat takes place as a result of the release of catecholamines during interval training. As a result, the body fat is burnt off in the form of energy during activity.

Before the start of the exercise process, the campers are tested for their fitness and required loss aimed by each individual. Accordingly, men and women of similar goals are placed in one group. The atmosphere of the camp is made to remain such that the campers do not lose out on their level of motivation. Boot camps are regarded as the new way of losing weight. What is making it more popular is the amount of time that an individual needs to devote. Boot camp exercise, if done with high intensity takes much less time than undergoing exercises in a gym.
