Many individuals make excuses such as not being able to run because of the snow or not staying active because their so busy do t the holiday season but these are just excuses and nothing more. There are a number of ways to still get exercise even though it is cold and snowy outdoors. If you usually jog or run outdoors during warmer months head to a gym and a treadmill for the winter months. If you play basketball often during the spring and summer find and indoor court where you can continue to play. If you normally follow an aerobics routine be sure to continue to allow time for it among all the hustle and bustle of the winter and holiday season. Because we are less active during the winter months it is also wise to change out diets during this time. Cut out fats and calories where you can in order to make up for all of the fat and calories you will not be burning during that game of tennis with your friend or that hike through the woods with your family. If you can cut out even a little more fat than usual you will be closer to keeping you weight down during the winter.
Finally, be sure to eat something healthy before attending all of those holiday parties. Many people look at it as slipping up only on Christmas but it is actually much of the month of December that we are tempted with tasty treats. After the month is over we have consumed many more calories and grams of fat than we like to think. Watch those holiday treats if you really want to keep the weight off.
Keeping your weight down during the winter is not easy but just by being conscious of what your eating you can do and feel good about what you eat.
