Self healing Reiki can be so beneficial. Many Reiki Practitioners will state that it is impossible to be able to work on yourself. This is so far from the truth. You know your body better than anybody. It is very beneficial to treat yourself with Reiki on a daily basis. You cannot have too much Reiki. If you are a beginner Reiki practitioner, there are about 15 hand positions you can use for Reiki Self Healing.
These self healing treatments can be applied anywhere any time. It can be for 10 minutes all the way up to an hour. Whatever you have time for, adjust your treatment accordingly. Start on your head with your hands covering your eyes allowing your nose to remain free to breathe. Your fingers will be pointing upward toward your forehead. Take time to breathe deeply and turn the Reiki on by mentally repeating the symbol names and the visualizing them floating around you.
Then move your hands to the top of your head with your fingertips pointing to each other and barely touching. After you feel that is complete, move both your hands to the back of your head. There are two hand positions for the back of the head, the hands can form a V with your index fingers touching, or they can be horizontal with your right going toward your left ear, and left hand going toward the right ear. It is up to you on how comfortable it is.
Then move your hands to either side of your face, from your ears down toward your chin. You should really be feeling relaxed by this time. Almost to the point of wanting to fall asleep. Keep repeating the symbols if it feels right to do. Some people turn the Reiki on one time, or some repeat the symbols at each new position.
From the sides of your face, move down to your throat, and cup your throat with both hands around your throat. Remember this hand positions should be as light as a feather. They are not meant to be hard or with a lot of pressure. If it feels right, you can move one hand from your throat to your heart, and allow Reiki to flow to both positions at one time. I have found it is hard for many people to speak from the heart, and there is stuck energy there. Opening both chakras at the same time, allows the recipient to open their heart and speak from the heart and release any heart ache associated with that.
From the throat and heart, move to the chest, placing both hands on either side of the chest, under the collar bone. Move to the upper abdomen, then to the middle abdomen with your fingers facing each other, and then move down to the lower abdomen. Then move to your back positions by reaching your hands over the tops of your shoulders with your fingers pointing down. This would be similar to rubbing your shoulders. Then reach around to your waist, and then lower back with both hands, finger tips pointing toward each other and touching.
Don t forget your feet. You can use one hand on one foot, or both hands on one foot, or crisscross your hands with your feet. Whatever position is most comfortable with you. There is no right or wrong when it comes to hand positions. These are only a guide to Reiki hand positions for self healing.
