As soon as you discover you circumstances require the necessity of a bail bond Las Vegas attorney David Wells recommends that the process be started right away. While most agents work as quickly as possible the paperwork needs to be submitted to the proper channels on your behalf and handled by a person who is knowledgeable and trustworthy. Discovering he was in the sad situation of requiring multiple bail bonds Las Vegas resident Jim Anderson decided that it was time to make some changes to his lifestyle and correct his behavior. He embarked on a self improvement program that would assist anyone if they were trying to create new habits and kick some old ones.
The first move Jim made was to make an appointment with his physician so he could discuss his poor physical condition for his age (46) and that he would like to adopt a healthier lifestyle. He also confided to him that he had three arrests the previous year for driving while under the influence of alcohol and that he believed that his drinking habits were completely out of control. His physician suggested that he undergo a battery of tests including a stress test and complete blood work that would reveal any underlying conditions that Jim was unaware he had.
Interestingly, the tests did indicate that Jim had high blood sugar problems and was almost to the point of requiring treatment for it. He was then given a healthy diet that would help him lose weight he had picked up and was told to walk at least thirty minutes each and every day. He was given an appointment to check back with the doctor in three months to follow up on his progress and assess his condition at that time.
Jim did miss his beer and found that the worst time of day for him was when he got off work and the desire to stop at his favorite bar to join his friends in a few beers was almost overwhelming. He was smart enough to know though that this was exactly the behavior that had brought him so much trouble and he fought the urge to give in to his craving. He read somewhere that it is wise to replace an old undesirable habit with a new one and he vowed he would spend that time of the day walking as his doctor had suggested. He discovered that as he kept walking it was increasingly enjoyable and his wife decided that it would be of benefit to her to join him. They often walked to their favorite family-style diner and ate dinner and then walked home together. Jim found to his amazement and pleasure that the restaurant staff and fellow diners became familiar faces and acquaintances that more or less replaced his drinking buddies. Because it was a small Mom and Pop restaurant it offered good home cooked food without the temptation of alcohol for Jim.
When Jim returned for his follow up visit to the doctor he was feeling better than he had in years and was happy to find out that he had lost twelve pounds and was no longer in danger of developing Diabetes. In addition, he now felt in control of his life and he looked forward to each day.
