Twenty-five million Filipinos were attracted to bet on the largest pot ever in the history of Philippine lottery. The pot was estimated to have reached its largest as of February 22, 2009 exceeding all other records. A wide variety of Filipinos from long time bettors to first time bettors, hope to emulate the construction worker from Novaliches, Quezon City, who won an estimated of 249 million pesos in the 6/49 Philippine Lotto. The Philippine government runs the Philippine lotto through the PCSO (Philippine Charity sweepstakes office).
The odds against winning the 6/49 Philippine lottery, statistically speaking, is near to impossible. Basically you are to choose six numbers from a group of 49 numbers. To determine the odds of winning the lotto consider the following formula: 49 x 48 x 47 x 46 x 45 x 44 = 10,068,347,520. This means that when one bets on the 6/49 Philippine lotto, his chances of winning it is a mere 1 to a 10 billion.
I do not have any liking to gambling nor do I have any plan to bet in the future. I am only blogging about this is because of the statistics and the chaos involved in it. With near to impossible chances of winning the lottery, you may ask what fool proof ways of winning the Philippine lottery? Well, for now, I came up of two ways to do it.
1.) Invest all your wealth on all possible combinations - To put it simply, bet on all 10 billion combinations by spending around 201 billion Philippine pesos at P 20 per combination bought. Now since you have betted on all possible combinations you will surely win the lottery.
Yet betting on all possible combinations does not guarantee one to profit from it. For one P 320 million pesos jackpot only comes once and you have to win 627 times more just to recover the cost spent in the betting. One other thing is that not everybody wins the jackpot solely. So winning the Philippine 6/49 lottery is not really profitable using this method but it will surely help you get the right possible combination.
2.) Just don't gamble. - This is the most logical and also my favorite. Once my barber told me that for the past seven years he has been faithfully betting in the Philippine 6/49 lotto everyday. So that would mean he would be spending around P 7, 000.00 every year (20 x 365 days minus holidays).
But if he had placed that P 7, 000.00 per year in a time deposit account with an interest of 1.25 to 2.25 % per annum, his money would have probably grown to around P 48, 000 or more after seven years.
But if he will follow Warren Buffet's method by investing his betting money on stocks that are wisely chosen, his money would have grown to more than P 89, 000 at 15% interest to P 160, 000 at 30% interest.
So those are my secret formula to win the lotto. To all gamblers, "Good Luck" (I don't believe in it though) you are going to need lots of it.
