Creating A Powerful Presentation

The first step in getting a new customer is to show them how much they need what you have to offer. Whether you're selling a product or offering a service, unless a customer can be convinced that you have what they need, and that your product or service is superior in one way or another, or in all ways, to similar products or services presented by other companies, then you're going to lose out. Having a powerful presentation to reach out and grab that customer, hammer home how important your company is or can be to them and give them the information they need to make a decision to choose you is of paramount importance.

Having a brochure that delivers that information to your customer is a great start. First off, not only will it give them a good overview of your company, its products or services and other important information, but it is something they can stick in their pocket or bag at a trade show and peruse later. You do, however, want to be sure your brochure stands out. Choose the most powerful ways to present your message.

Keep in mind that the brochure should be easy to keep - not easy to throw away. Using a bi-fold can be a good way to highlight one particular product or service, but a tri-fold fits in a pocket much better, and is easier to leave on a desk without getting in the way. Also, by taking advantage of the layout of a tri-fold template, you can pack a lot more information into the same amount of paper.

Color always sends a powerful message. So are pictures and graphics that represent your products or services that make a definitive impact on a customer. Color text and bullet points draws the eye and causes a client to want to read that next paragraph, especially putting paragraphs and information blocks in color that need to be emphasized.

Try not to get carried away. Even though a tri-fold has lots of room, don't overload the page. Giving too much information is never good in any situation. Leave the customer wanting more. Interest them enough to reach out and contact you via phone, email, or through your website. Be sure to use a quality paper. Cheap feeling and looking brochures will make its way into the garbage quicker than a pocket or purse. Pre-creased tri-fold paper with a glossy finish or even a rag bond paper is available for little more cost than copier paper, and the impact in terms of presentation is immeasurable.

Your brochure will often be your company's first impression with a customer. Develop the brochure layout. Present a powerful image to help bring business to your company. And, isn't that what we're all looking for?
