However, since there are lots of vinyl records for sale around the world, chances are you'll end up buying not the rare one. So you really have to be keen when choosing and take your time assessing your options. You see, there are lots of suppliers claiming that their records are of high value, only to find out later that they are actually not. One important factor is the condition. Instinct tells us that items which are in excellent condition are of higher value than those which are not. That's true! So before you place that order or pay for that vinyl record, see if it has scratches, is already worn out, or has some writings on the label. If you see any of those signs, then do not purchase it.

Rarity. If you are quite familiar with records produced in the 60's and 70's, then you will know which of these were produced in higher volumes and which were not.
