Why Do All Natural Skin Care Ingredients Matter?

The ingredients of natural skin care products don't matter as long as they work. Is that right? Are natural skin care ingredients irrelevant as long as the products work? Lets have a look at this as I saw that exact comment recently on a skincare website.

I dont care whats in it as long as it works.

So first lets talk about why so many consumers are now turning to natural skincare products. There seem to be 2 reasons.

1. That there is a slow realization amongst consumers of skincare products that there really are naturally occurring substances that are extremely good for your skin.

There's no doubt that this is true. For example I have written about Phytessence Wakame as an example. Phytessence Wakame is a seaweed found in Japan and is packed with some wonderful things that are so good for your skin. Science is discovering that Phytessence Wakame is one of the major reasons for why Japanese women have such good skin. They eat it.

Here's another example. Shea Butter. This is the oil found in the nut of the Shea tree, a tree found in Africa. It has wonderful natural moisturizing properties. And there's lots more examples of naturally occurring substances that are as good or much better for your skin than the ingredients found in big brand skin care products.

2. And more and more consumers are also finding out that there can be dangerous ingredients in big brand skin care products. Often because the more natural alternative is way more expensive than a chemical alternative.

I have written before about some of the chemical ingredients that can be found in many skin care products and cosmetics. And in some natural skin care products too.

So if you consider these 2 reasons for the big movement towards more natural skin care products it does seem to us that the ingredients that are found in your products ARE important.

The consumer wants ingredients that are safe to use and work well. This movement towards all natural alternatives is driven by what is in the products. The ingredients are what concern people.

We demand safe and effective products.

Do all natural skin care products contain only safe and effective ingredients? No sadly.

The good news though is that there are some excellent, safe and effective natural skin care products around.
