Cub Fans Unite For The 2010 Season

Cub fans all across the country know that when they hear Lou Pinella speak, that there is going to be something interesting that will come out of his mouth. These words of wisdom come in the form of him either saying that the team will have the best season that they have had in a long time, or this will lead to him saying that the team is the worst ever. This is an annual expectation that the loyal fans of the Cubs experience every season.

So now the question that needs to be asked are there anything to the fact that Lou Pinella said that the Cubs will have one of their best seasons so far in 2010? The answer may come in the fact that there are a few areas that the players of the game will need to address when it comes to winning this season.

There are several players in the Cubs locker room that can make quite a few impressive contributions to the overall success of the team. These starters will be the heart and soul of the team, this will in turn allow them to be followed by a line of strong closers for the Cubs, the combination of the two will result in an unbeatable bullpen.

In the outfield there are a few small glitches that will need to be addressed in order to ensure that the team is in full proper functionality when they are trying to get the big plays shut down in the outfield. While these issues are not that huge in the long run, they are ones that could keep the team from having a good year in the way of stopping the other teams from scoring on them and making a single into a double or even a triple. This may not seem like a big issue at first, but in the end there will be a lot of plays that will get past the outfield and result in runs scored against the Cubs.

Then there is the outfield, this is yet another area that will cause a lot of trouble for the Yankees when it comes time for them to try beating the doubles or the triples. While the problems in this area are not a deep. There will need to be some attention that will need to be given to the team in the fact that they will have to close the gaps that are currently there.

The one area that the team has no problem with is in the area of getting hits, this seems to be the thing that will get the team to be at the top of the division. While long time rival the Cardinals will give the team a lot of a challenge, there will be very little that the team will be able to do in the way of beating the Cardinals. This will be what keeps them from going to the top of the division. But in the end look for the Cubs to win the league championship and head into the World Series.

This is one of the more positive aspects of the 2010 Cubs season. The fact that all of their runs will come from either inside the park home runs or double plays. Mark my words, at the end of the season, everyone will be wearing the colors of the Cubs.

This can easily be the year that the Cubs take the entire thing and win it all, there will need to be a clear understanding as to what all they are looking for in the way of getting to the top of the standings. If they do everything correctly, then this will be the year that Lou Pinella has something else to complain about.
