Body fat is associated with the top 11 causes of death in the United States. Thus, losing body fat is not just about looks, it's a matter of life and death.

So here are some tips to burn a little more body fat from your workouts:

1. Have a slow digesting snack beforehand: Exercising on an empty stomach is a sure fire path to failure. You need calories to burn calories. You see, without food in your system you will not be able to exercise with intensity.

2. Use machines sparingly: The main issue here is that machines keep your body locked in a position that is usually seated. And if you do most of your exercise from the standing position, you will burn more calories. So try to do as much as possible from the standing position.

3. Incorporate some balance training: Don't make balance training the center of your workouts as most commercial fitness centers do. Instead, use it sparingly to activate a little more muscle mass while not compromising the hormonal output that heavy lifting creates.

4. Use cardio wisely: Cardio can increase your cells ability to burn fat by fifty percent. However, if done in excess, it will decrease the intensity of your weight lifting sessions. And weight lifting is far more powerful than cardio for fat burning.

5. Enhance your adrenal medulla: Your adrenal medulla is responsible for releasing stress hormones. And stress hormones do a great job at accelerating fat loss if they are in check, of course. So have a little caffeine or a period of psyching up before exercising.

6. Rest less and less: If you slowly reduce rest periods as time goes on, you will notice increased fat loss. The key here is to make sure you do this slowly. Too much too soon will have you feeing miserable and out of breath.

The brutal truth is that you are not going to be able to lose a lot of fat from one day to the next. However, you can accelerate your current rate of fat loss by following these tips today!
