A lot of women panic when they get a yeast infection in pregnancy, they first of all want to get rid of it in a way that's safe for them and the baby and also they want to keep their baby from contracting it when it is born.

It's not a fun situation to find yourself in, but don't worry, there are ways to deal with it that are 100% safe:

1. Eating Yogurt

One way to deal with yeast infection in pregnancy is by using yogurt. Yogurt is full of healthy live bacterial cultures, these cultures emit hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct which is toxic to the yeast.

By eating enough yogurt you can essentially kill the yeast from the inside, but be sure that this yogurt is sugar free as sugar is yeast food and would only make things worse.

2. Tampon + Yogurt

There are other ways to use yogurt to fix this situation, one other solution is to use it vaginally. What you do is apply the yogurt to a tampon then leave that in for around 30-45 minutes.

What happens when you do this is the live bacterial cultures will begin to fight off the yeast in your body. If you do this every day for at least 2 weeks, you will notice an improvement.

3. Tea Tree Oil

Much like the solution above, what were going to do here is first coat a tampon with some olive oil to act as a base, then put a few drops of tea tree oil on top of that.

When you have this, apply it for 30-45 minutes to let the tea tree oil do it's thing in fighting off the yeast, it's a powerful anti-fungal agent.

Now if you find yourself with a yeast infection in pregnancy, these remedies will help out a bit, but they will not be a quick or permanent solution. In order to get to the root of the issue here, you need to kill the yeast spores, very few treatments do this.
