For those people who want to illuminate a room and photos or paintings in a good way finding an art light that look absolutely wonderful is not hard to do if searching on the internet. Finding the right led picture light could be difficult to choose from all the different designs. Picture frame lighting has really jumped forward and there are many different styles on the market in many different finishes.

For those areas where there are no electricity outlets, the battery operated styles will be perfect for this job. These literally clip onto the surround of the painting or photo so there is absolutely no messy drilling to undertake when fitting. This is great news for those people who do not know how to get on with this kind of job. But they also offer another advantage in that they can be used until a permanent position is found for that favorite painting. Everyone likes to try things out in different positions, particularly if it is some new work that is being introduced into the home or office, so moving it around a bit is a good idea until it looks and feels just right. Once this place is found, extra electrical work can be done to bring in sockets etc if desired.

Some of these slim line lamps are very sleek and chic. Made in brushed steel or brass colors, they are modern enough to fit into all kinds of house styles. Because they do not have too many embellishments, they do not detract from the painting, and they can be angled to shine just where it should. Some of the sleek and shiny modern designs are made in ultra slim models which mean that they do no really stand out when they are used in the right way. State-of-the-art reflectors shine some very pure illumination on the works which means that it is also evenly spread avoiding any kind of shadow. Because it is energy efficient and long lasting, this lamp will certainly last for a number of years. On top of this, it can be mounted directly onto the surround of the painting to be angled in the right way.

There are also some very cleverly designed lamps which have integral painting hangers on them too which cuts out the need for separate hooks in the wall.

Whatever is needed to illuminate the painting, making sure that the illumination is directed at just the right angle is perhaps a good thing do to. Halogen tends to be the clearest illumination but these are often ceiling mounted fittings which only 'spot' on the piece without showing up the corners. However, these days there are purpose built lamps which have this style of illumination since many would prefer the brighter look.

But it is not always necessary to have the brightness that has been described. Some people would prefer to have a warmer kind of lamp so that the work is not altered in any way. Harsh white lamps can sometimes wash out the color so it really is down to personal taste which style is the right one for the job.
