Commonly one thinks why cholesterol is produced in our body? There is a reason for that to be produced in our body.
Storage of abundant amount of fats in heart is cleared by good cholesterol. It allows in clearing bad cholesterol not allowing formation of plaques in the arterial walls.

1. Maintain Fitness. Doing exercises daily will lead to a healthy life. Running with shoes in the road regularly will be good for health. Running, walking in early morning and frequent exercises will increase good cholesterol.
Drop excess weight. The diet control is essential for all ages of life to bring down the weight. Stopping the consumption of food will not reduce weight rather will cause death. Taking in well balanced diet will make the weight to be in balance.
Alcohol is dangerous: There are people who cannot start a day or end the day with a beer or anyother drink. If you are one among them then it is advised to stay away from alcohol as it can increase your bad cholesterol levels.
4. Stop Smoking: From the day tobacco is invented it is associated with all kinds of diseases. What smoking does is it weakens a person'e immune system and acts in all possible ways to increase the bad cholesterol in one's body. Smoking is considered as main culprit in causing heart diseases.
5. All fats are not considered to be harmful: Monounsaturated fats will be bringing up the level of good cholesterol. It is present in canola oils, olive oil, avocado oil and peanut butter.
Natural oil like Omega 3 will also increase the level of good cholesterol. Fishes like tuna and salmon contains Omega 3. Apart from that almonds and some varieties of nuts contains Omega 3.
One should be well informed and aware of "partially hydrogenated vegetable oils" as these oils contain trans fatty acids that increases bad cholesterol.
6. Hats off to soluble fiber: Oats, vegetables, wheat's, legumes and fruits have high content of soluble fiber. And this soluble fiber is considered to increase the level of good cholesterol.
7. A recent research says that drinking cranberry juice will increase the level of good cholesterol in a person's body. But, generally all the fruit juices are good for health.
