Jesus Christ is into healing addictions. Addictions of every kind including smoking, alcohol, sexual addictions, drugs, over eating and more are connected to thought patterns which lead to addictions of every kind. Those who become stuck in a pattern of addiction often try to break free of the addiction by focusing on the behavior. However, the behavior is actually caused by underlying negative emotions and thought patterns which must be broken in order to break free of addiction.

Here are some tips for healing addictions. Tip One: Focusing all of your attention on breaking addictive habits without addressing the underlying thoughts which are behind the behavior will only result in temporary results. Tip Two: In order to receive long-term success in overcoming addiction you must address the thought patterns supporting the addiction (these thought patterns are also known as strongholds in the mind). Tip Three: In order to be set free from the bondage of the enemy you must replace negative underlying thoughts and emotions behind the addiction with truths found in the Word of God.

There is a link between negative emotions and thoughts that creates a bondage that can only be overcome by replacing those thoughts with the truth of God's Word. Overcoming and healing addictions is achievable as we acknowledge and repent for the sinful emotions and thoughts which have given access to and empowered the enemy to operate through our behavior. Christians must acknowledge the truth of the Word in order to be set free of addiction. Healing addictions is a work already provided for through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the crucifixion.

Spiritual darkness separates us from God and from the freedom available through Jesus Christ. Saying no to addiction is NOT possible when you are dealing with a spiritual stronghold of addiction. You must first repent for the unhealthy emotions and thoughts which have given access to the enemy in your life. The enemy goal is to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus gives life and life more abundantly. The life offered by Jesus Christ is achievable for every Christian as they tear down the spiritual strongholds created in the mind which formulate a castle or living space in the Christians life for the enemy to control them.

Over time the thoughts of the enemy can become so common that they become natural to us and we simply operate our life based on our belief of them. Just as natural castles are built with stone, strongholds in our minds are built of thoughts. These castles or strongholds are very real in the spiritual realm and they affect our natural behavior. Healing addiction is achievable as we acknowledge the truth of God's Word and tear down the thoughts which are leading to the addiction in our life. Spiritual ministries are available to assist persons in walking through the steps necessary to achieve complete freedom. The tearing down of strongholds in the mind is a process which takes place with the assistance of the Holy Spirit.

Overcoming addiction is achievable as you yield to the Word of God and tear down the thoughts which drive you to the addiction. Jesus is into healing addictions of every kind including overeating, drugs, alcohol, pornography, sexual addiction and more. Overcoming through the power of the cross is achievable for every Christian who yields their thoughts to Jesus Christ. Jesus offers a new beginning; you may have failed in the past when you attempted to overcome addiction, but this is a new day. Overcoming addictions once and for all is possible as we tear down the strongholds operating in our minds and replace them with the truth of God's Word.
