Five Steps To Take Care Of Your New Tattoo

Many people enjoy getting tattoos. It is a way of expressing oneself and enjoying some creativity. Before making this decision, however, make sure that you pick a place that is clean and sanitary. You want to make sure that they have a good docility free of poor standards and conduct.

Once you get your tattoo, you need to do several steps in order to take care of it. Keep the bandage on for a minimum of 2 hours, After the 2 hours; still stay weary so you do not damage it.

Here are five things to remember for tattoo aftercare:

1. Clean the tattoo with an ointment or lotion, do this on a regular basis so it does not get infected. Do not use products with tiny or scent, it could ruin he tattoo.

2. Stay away from hot tubs and showers as they will just get water on the tattoo and possibly ruin it. Wait at least 2 weeks before jumping in a hot tub.

3. Peeling is normal but not always wanted. If you are not a fan of the feeling going around your tattoo then gentle wipe a moist washcloth or towel, rub the tattoo and move it across gently so you do nor damage it.

4. 4. If you notice ithcing, it means that your tattoo is just healing. Do not pick at it or itch it. Gently slapping it will aid in getting rid of the inching temporarily. If you find yourself itching a lot then perhaps getting a lotion would help.

5. Never expose your tattoo to the direct sunlight; the UV rays are detrimental in trying to preserve your tattoo, as it causes it to fade if there is not proper sun protection. Make sure to use sunscreen.
