Today, Hollywood presents to us one of the greatest and remarkable personalities: Arnold Schwarzenegger. Being a multi-talented person, he had a great acting career. Today, he is well known as a politician, businessperson, bodybuilder, film producer, director and super star. He is a strongly self-motivated person, having the necessary determination to accomplish everything he wants in life. For sure, looking back at his life we are going to realize that we can learn many things, being a great example for anyone. In case that you think that Arnold Schwarzenegger's life was great, you are about to find out that it was not like this. Only his will to succeed made him to reach the greatness. Yesterday, a Hollywood super hero turns today into a great Governor of California.

A flash back Besides his Christian name, Arnold was addressed by his nick name, Austrian Oak during his bodybuilding days. Arnold was born to Gustav Schwarzenegger and Aurelia Jadrny in a tiny village called Thal which is in Austria. Right from a very young age, he was determined to achieve something big and get rich as he did not wish to be an ordinary man. If he misbehaved or disobeyed his parents, he would be punished. His father considered him to be a disobedient person.

Arnold's Bodybuilding days and acting career When Arnold chose bodybuilding as his career, Steve Reeves was his greatest inspiration. Due to a new rule enforced in the year 1965 that all 18 year old males should serve in the Austrian army, Arnold joined to fulfill his service after which he won the junior Mr. Europe title. The turning point in life was when he won the Mr. Universe title which was the gateway to enter the land of opportunities, America. Arnold's strong accent was a barrier to his acting after he moved to the U.S. At the age of 23, Arnold was the youngest bodybuilder to win the Mr. Olympia title. He has the honor of winning it seven consecutive times.

Personal Life Arnold Schwarzenegger was married with an English woman, Barbara Outland Baker. Anyway, the cultural and mentality differences separated them and as a result, in 1974, they get divorced and both of them continued their lives. After few years, Arnold Schwarzenegger remarried to Maria Shriver, President J.F. Kennedy's niece. They have four children.

Film career Schwarzenegger's ambition was to get into acting and he got a chance to play the lead role of Hercules in the movie titled "Hercules in New York". There was no turning back after this. He went on to do many films such as "The long Goodbye", "Stay Hungry" and the "The Villain" Schwarzenegger's huge breakthrough in his acting career in the box office hit titled "Conan, the Barbarian which was released in the year 1982. Following this was another major box office hit "The Terminator ". Adding to his list of movies were Commando, Raw Deal, Predator, Batman & Robin.

Business career: Arnold Schwarzenegger started a bricklaying business by building partnership with his fellow bodybuilder Franco Columbu which was profitable too. Later Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife introduced a restaurant at Santa Monica called Schatzi on Main. It was sold in 1998. He also invested in shopping malls.

Politics In the year 2003, Arnold was elected as the Governor of California.
