Today, Morgan Freeman presents a great television, actor and narrator career. For sure, you remember him especially for his characteristic voice. He is a very respected and popular Hollywood actor.

Morgan Freeman won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. For his best performances on screen he was nominated for the Academy Award for the films Street Smart, Invictus , Driving Miss Daisy and won an Oscar for Million Dollar Baby in 2005 to name a few.

  About Morgan Freeman: Morgan Freeman was born to Mayme Edna and Morgon Porterfield Freeman, Sr., in Memphis, Tennessee in 1937. Freeman was married to Jeanette Adair Bradshaw from October 22, 1967, until 1979. He married Myrna Colley-Lee later in 1984.  

Morgan Freeman as a child had strong fascination for theatre. He was not much interested in academics and athletics. Morgan Freeman also served the Air force for 5 years i.e., from 1955 to 1959.He moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960's and worked as a transcript clerk in Los Angeles Community College. Healso lived in New York City working as a dancer at the 1964 World's Fair.

Freeman made his debut in the movie The Nigger lovers. People in the American media started recognizing him through shows like Another World and The Electric Company. His first appearance was in the film "Who Says I Can't Ride A Rainbow". For almost two years he took part in the day time drama Days of our lives.

Best Performances: Freeman was nominated for Oscar award for his role as an emotional pimp in the film Street Smart in 1987. Then he did "Clean and Sober" in 1988.He was again nominated for Oscar for the second time for his role in the film Driving Miss Daisy in 1989.Morgan Freeman is one of the few African American actors to play the roles not specially written for African Americans. He has excellent talent in which ever role he is offered , such are his acting skills. Prince Of Thieves released in 1991 is an example for this.

The third Oscar nomination was for the movie The Shawshank Redemption. Freeman displayed his talent as a director in the movie Bopha! The other movies that can be added to his credit are Seven, Amistad, Unforgiving; Kiss the Girls and so on.

Later, he shows interest into a director career and tries his chance with the movie Bopha. Anyway, as this did not present a favorable result, he accepted the role in The Shawshank Redemption, a prison drama. He also interprets great parts in movies such as Kiss the Girls, Unforgiving, Amistad or Seven and many others.

Later, in 1998 the release of Deep Impact reveals to us even more of the great actor's talent. He performs the main role in such a professional manner that it brought to him another Oscar Award. After this, Morgan Freeman records great successes with his three wonderfully interpreted roles in March of Penguins, Batman Begins and War of Worlds. For his performance of Nelson Mandela role, he won as well the Golden Globe Award.
