If we spend eighty five percent of our time in self talk, how do we watch all of our thoughts? I agree it is difficult to control our thoughts and in the beginning we have trouble even keeping up to what we are thinking about. As you know the more you do something the better and easier it becomes.

To overcome so much time in uncensored self talk may not be the easiest thing you have ever done. Once you have set some goals you will create some affirmations for achieving these goals. You are now well on the way to controlling your self talk. With your affirmations and a definite plan for your future you will begin to spend more and more of your time thinking and living your dream.

When you can over come your negative thoughts with positive thoughts you will on your way to taking control of your life. Some affirmations that I personally use, although, they do not directly pertain to my goals work well in stopping self talk chatter. I like saying the following:I am in charge of my thoughts and my life. I can have every thing in life I want.If a particular thought makes you happy use it for your affirmation.

The affirmations for your goals will have to be created by you. As you create your affirmations use action words that get you excited and motivated to such an extent that you do not have any time or inclination to have negative self talk. Along with the affirmations you need to see yourself having accomplished the goals and create the affirmations to reinforce the fact that they have been accomplished.

Even with these suggestions on controlling your self talk there is certainly going to be some negative thoughts that get through. Instead of letting these thoughts get you down get back to your happy self motivating talk. When your day comes to an end you might say the following before going to sleep to take the power away from any negative thoughts. "I remove all the energy from every thought that does not serve my greater purpose. I call back the energy from these thoughts so they cannot manifest in my future. I take the energy from these thoughts and apply it to the thoughts that serve and nourish me in a positive way. All the negative thoughts that do not serve me I set free to dissolve."
