Is there a way to reverse aging once and for all? Well, until now, science has not invented a pill that will stop aging. However, we can slow down the process!
Now don't assume that anti-aging efforts are vain, it's also about increasing quality of life so that you can get more output per unit of life.
Thus, here are 4 steps for reducing your age:
1. Stay active: Now this may seem like common sense, but most people think they have to bust their butts off in a gym to reap the benefits. While exercising hard definitely has its perks, you don't have to go all out to increase your health. A simple daily walk with minimal exertion can really boost health and mood.
2. Reduce stress: Most people understand that stress is bad, but few people fully understand how stress can negatively affect the body at a profound level. From a compromised immune system to a smaller hippocampus (memory center), stress kills. The key is to keep on experimenting with stress reduction techniques until you find the one that works.
3. Take some vitamins: Notice that I said some vitamins because overloading with mega doses of vitamins is not healthy for the human body. Aim for a multivitamin that has no more than 100% of any daily recommended value. I prefer chewables since they taste good and prevent me from having to take one more pill.
4. Have varied sources of fiber: Don't just stick with soluble fiber or insoluble fiber, try to get both sources in your diet. One good way to accomplish this is to incorporate beans and oatmeal into your regular eating regimen.
And keep in mind that slowing down aging is not a quick process. Instead, the strategy is to incorporate different lifestyle habits that will slow down aging over the long run. Realistic expectations will save you a lot of headaches and heartaches.
