When it comes to different types of beer available, there is certainly not a shortage of options out there. Sure, you may feel compelled to go with the big name brands all the time, like Coors, Budweiser, Miller Lite as well as others of this caliber, however there are many other options out there to consider.
This article will highlight some of my favorite beers that are available in most areas.
The first company that I have to mention is Amstel Light. After spending a good amount of time in The Netherlands, specifically Amsterdam I learned to fall in love with this beer. Heineken also hails from this city, but over time my affinity switched to Amstel.
Another craft ale that I thoroughly enjoy is Stella Artois. Coming way from Belgium, this is a very tasty beer; however, try not to order it in a bottle, as the volume is less than your standard bottled beer.
Another type of beer worth mentioning, by way of Colorado is Flying Dog. This company has several different types of brews, including their IPA, Tire Biter, Pale Ale and other favorites.
If you are looking for something a little heady, try any number of the beers produced by the Vermont brewery Magic Hat. Their number one seller is the Magic Hat #9, and with good reason; this stuff is delicious.
Finally, I will mention a rare beer that any time I see it on a menu (which is not so often) I have to get it. And that beverage is none other than Red Seal. The Red Seal American Amber ale finds the perfect balance of taste, refreshment and hops. I just love this one and highly recommend getting it if you ever see it.
These are just some of my favorite beers that are widely available at the moment.
