Depression And Procrastination: Which Comes First?

Virtually, people have at least dawdled with the procrastination process. Some even made it a way of life. Depression and procrastination appear to be a bothering phenomenon. The link between the two is connected and the lack of action simply correlates with one another.

At a larger level of analysis, depression and procrastination has been a gut issue in organizations and the society. Procrastination is a disinclination habitual activity wherein a person puts off important tasks to the last possible minute in exchange to some other insignificant factors.

Feeling sad is a normal pert of life. Depression, on the other hand, is much more than being sad. As a result, a very low self-esteem follows making you feel unworthy, restless and hopeless. It affects a lot from you--- from your own self-esteem to your family to your social life and your work.

Depression does not cause procrastination especially when an individual is already procrastinating. Eventually, it makes it worse. However, the inertial process does cause depression unless the problem would be responded immediately.

Some signs and symptoms of procrastination.

A lack of self-control is one bad habit to procrastinate. Finding oneself setting aside important tasks for an insignificant exciting activity might eventually lead to continuous practice on the inertial process.

Doubts about the value of the solution is frequently a cause of the inability to get mobilized. Sad to say, only a few people identify this fact and deal with it early in the solution-finding process.

Pessimistic behavior reacting to things like "I don't want to. I couldn't do that. I feel down. I just don't feel doing it. I'm scared." impedes the need to go after certain tasks.

Signs and symptoms of depression.

Emotional symptoms can include feelings of tiredness, sadness, emptiness, or numbness. Behavioral signs include irritability, inability to concentrate, difficulty making decisions, loss of *** desire, crying, sleep disturbance, and social withdrawal. Physical signs of depression may include loss of appetite, weight loss, constipation, headache, and dizziness.

Overcome procrastination.

Time management skills are all about managing oneself to reach specific goals. The result would be a sound individual achieving all perspectives in life. It would then be quite simple to organize between important, urgent and less important tasks. It may not be a one-click activity, but in the long run you will be able to thank your own self for a job well done.

Approach for depression.

The person should assess the situation or problem, to arrive at a solution. Just like the causes of depression differ in different people, so are the ways to respond and feel better.
