Many of us have witnessed someone smoking a cigar either a family member or someone on TV. There have been many role models in my time that I can remember an image of them smoking a fat stogie. Since these times, cigars have become quite popular among our society that it may be common place in some places to have ones own humidor.

The term Aficionado is a term used to describe those individuals who smoke cigars as though it were an art to them. They could tell you all sorts of information about any cigar on the market. Unfortunately such a habit comes with great risk, mouth cancer, and it should be taken just as seriously as cigarette smoking. Celebrities have become more and more involved in this hobby that this trend keeps growing.

To give you an example of our celeb aficionados below is a list of some people you may have over looked.

MICHAEL JORDAN
Known as one of the all time greatest basketball players that ever touched the court. However off the court, it was very much the same. For example, Jordan would be smoking, say, a Cuban Montecristo No. 2 on the Bulls' bus. Would any of his nonsmoking teammates ever ask the five-time league MVP to snuff out his cigar? As former teammate John Salley once put it: "We were just apostles. Jesus was smoking, that's all there is to it. What are you going to say?"

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
Arnold was lucky enough to marry into a family, particularly his father-in-law, who loved to smoke cigars. Funny story, Maria, offered him a cigar after a dinner, shortly after Schwarzenegger and Maria met in 1977. Now, any complaints Maria might make about her husband's cigar smoking can be parried with a quick reference to her dad. "You can always say, 'Look, honey, your father wouldn't have introduced me to something that's bad."

WHOOPI GOLDBERG
Whoopie has been all over the place when it comes to the various movies she starred in during her career. She also preforms standup comedy and is now on a talk show called theView. She's just as difficult to classify when it comes to cigars. While she prefers small cigars, she's been known to light up a big Cohiba now and then.

BRUCE WILLIS
Willis, who first gained attention as the wisecracking David Addison on ABC's "Moonlighting," has electrified worldwide audiences in a number of big-budget blockbusters that usually have him, if not saving the world (Armageddon), then saving the day (the Die Hard trilogy). He has demonstrated a flair for comedy as well, as shown in The Player. During the mid-1990s, Willis frequented Arnold Schwarzenegger's Monday night cigar dinners at Schatzi on Main.

TOM CRUISE
Many no Tom from the Movie Top Gun or the Mission impossible movies. What they don't know about him is that he has been a cigar aficionado since the beginning of the 90's. He and his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, once presented their friend, Demi Moore, with a travel humidor for her birthday.
