If you are a dog lover and owns one or several dogs, then you might be interested in knowing some dog odor removal tips. There are three ways to effectively get rid of the dog odor, these are prevention, masking the odor and eliminating it. Even if these three ways are different from one another, they all serve the same purpose of not having that dog odor inside the house. Let's take a look of these different ways to help you get rid and not suffer from dog odors.

Prevention is always the best way to not have that dog odor in the first place. Regular bathing and brushing is essential to keep your dog clean and fresh all the time. Next is to go after your dog's poop all the time. Whenever your precious canine poops, make sure that you clean it immediately. Train your dogs to urinate and poop outside the house and train them to follow house rules. You can also use doggy bags that have nice scents to seal up doggy poops. These bags will cover up unwanted smell and leaves a fresh scent into your garbage bins. And the last thing to take into consideration is your pet's beds and blankets. You must wash their personal things on a regular basis so that dog smell will not penetrate deep into his blankets and beddings.

Another way to get rid of dog odor is by masking or covering the dog odor. There are several dog products that helps cover up dog smell. There are sprays and perfume drops which you can use on your dogs, dog perfumes usually last for a few days. There are also powders and other products which you can use inside your house. Although this might not solve the root of the problem, masking bad odor is a great way to temporarily solve odor problems, most especially when you have guests coming and you don't have enough time to clean up the source of the odor. It is wise to not invest much on products that temporarily mask the odor, for it will never last and the real odor will eventually resurface.

Eliminating the dog odor most especially urine odor completely is another option. Finding the root cause of the odor and getting rid of it may seem to be a difficult task. But the good thing is it can be done. It is best to remove fresh urine since it is easier to remove because the odor hasn't penetrated deep inside yet. There are several dog cleaners in the market; you can even buy cheap but effective dog cleaners in superstores.

For old stains and odors, it is imperative that you locate the exact location of the odor. If you can't spot it with your bare eyes, you can use a black light to help you in finding the area. When you locate the spot, you can use enzyme-based cleaners that can break the chemicals in the urine that's causing the odor.
