If you want to earn money online, you're going to have to have a website. If you desire that site to bring in money, it has to be written extremely well. Unless you are already a copywriter yourself, it's best to employ someone who is well-qualified to write the text for your site. A skilled copywriter will generate a lot more cash than you would ever even be able to hope to see if you attempted to do all of the writing by yourself. Apparently, though, not every copywriter is the same as the next one. Some copywriters are very talented. Some merely wish they had talent and are trying to make a bit of money because someone told them writing online would be easy. Here is how you will be able to tell them apart.
Does the copywriter have a web site of his or her own? Any copywriter worth his or her salt is going to have his or her own site that contains a bio, some samples and a resume (and anything else the writer feels like sharing). If the writer doesn't have his or her own site, how can they help you put up yours? Look closely at the copy used on this site as well. If it is loaded with errors this is not a good sign.
How favorably do you respond as you are reading the copywriter's own copy? This is more involved than merely noting grammatical errors and syntax errors. Does the website copy cause an emotional response as you go over it? Does it cause you to warm up to the copywriter? Does it make you want to keep on reading and find out more about him or her? Does it make you feel like you have to hire the writer right away? Does the copy make you want to run the other way? Does the copy make you mad? All of these are crucial reactions and you must heed them.
Carry out a background research on the copywriter. Seek reviews on independent sites and forums. It's remote that you will find any bad reviews on the writer's own website. Do a search for the copywriter's name to determine if any reviews or testimonials pop up in places that are not run or that cannot be manipulated by the writer. These reviews demand your extra attention. It is smart to ask the writer for references as well. Make sure that you follow up and really contact those references so that you can obtain an honest opinion from them.
Make sure you spend some time reading through the samples supplied by the writer. Ask for more samples than are available on the writer's web site. This is especially important when you're trying to hire a writer who claims to be an expert in a specific field. When the writing looks like it was sourced from Wikipedia or is especially vague, you better find a different writer.
There area number of ways to find out whether or not a copywriter is worthy of hiring. You must do some homework and find out more about the writer in terms of his or her integrity, reputation and personal character.
