Probably many people who do work-out still sometimes find themselves wondering what the best time to exercise is for them. With the busy lives we lead these days that is an understandable question. Even if you are just starting out with a new exercise program it's important to do something. You have to do with what you have, even if that means only a few times a week its better than not at all. The economy has played a large role in the decline of exercise nationally because many are taking second jobs to make ends meet. Weekends may be your only available time for exercise. This is of course better than not getting any exercise at all.

Do what you need to do even if that means early in the morning work outs. You may just have to help your body out even if it seems adjusted. The easiest way to do this is by warming up properly and thoroughly. In the early mornings this is especially important since your muscles and joints aren't warmed up like they would be later in the afternoon. That puts you at a slightly elevated risk for injury. Before you get into a hard workout do all that you can to limber up your muscles to avoid injury.

If you are thinking about exercising in the morning think about this first. Research has shown that we can teach our internal, circadian rhythm, clocks to adjust to just about any schedule we choose. This can take a little bit of time, don't give up. If you are worried that you can't do it, hang in there, don't give up. If you stick with it you will benefit from early morning workouts as they become a habit set in your internal clock.

If you are able to schedule time in the afternoon for a workout it's important that you do it. There are many compelling reasons for this. One reason is that we are more physically capable in the late afternoon. We also tend to have higher endurance later. We are less prone to injury because our muscles are warmed-up from the days activities. No matter what the program you will gain the best benefit from an afternoon routine. So it's up to the individual to determine the best time to exercise. Plus you need to consider what form of exercise you will be doing. Then you need to make a plan that you can stick to.
