Most of the time you think that if you feel pain under the right rib cage it is caused by an injury, but you thought wrong. This pain can be caused by a more serious medical condition. The pain under the right ribcage is also a common condition. Severe injury can be a cause of this pain but also there are other factors which you must consider.

The inflammatory of the cartilage is one of the most common causes of the pain under the right ribcage. The cartilage is located at the middle of the ribs and breastbone. The pain happens for a shorter period of time but can be very discomforting.

This can also lead you to bloat and experience gas problems. This is food is not broken down into simple substances which will then trap the gasses in your intestine.

Liver damage can also be a severe cause of pain under the right ribcage. Liver cancer or other liver related ailments can cause the pain. Gallbladder disease and infection can also be a cause in of pain under the ribcage.

The treatments for the pain under the right ribcage vary from the root cause. For cases which are not too complex you can take in pain relievers that must also be prescribed by your physician. It is highly recommended that you consult a physician especially if the symptoms or pain persists to remedy the pain you are feeling.
