How to remove moles?

Do you wish to know how to get rid of moles?

Removing moles involves surgical procedures, which are performed by doctors using two specific ways. If you are worried about stitches, then simple cutting can be done. No stitching, whatsoever, is required in cutting. The main tool used to perform the surgery is a scalpel. Shaving is done on the mole and its surrounding area using the scalpel. Since the moles are to be removed from the root, shaving is done even on the area below the mole itself. Therefore, you must be confident with your choice of doctor, especially when it comes to his skill and expertise.

What if, while removing the moles, it starts to bleed?

A special solution is used in order to stop the bleeding. Some would resort to exposing the bleeding area to direct heat to stop the blood flow. It does not, however, imply charring or burning the skin. Cauterization, through the use of electrical instruments can also be used. After cauterization, the area is applied with topical antibiotic. The antibiotic application would hasten the healing of the wound and lessen the chances of infections. Another way of discouraging complications caused by infections would be to cover the area with a band aid. If the surgeon gives specific instructions, obey them since they are meant to make your recovery faster.

How do you go about removing moles which are flat?

Some moles can be of the raised type. Some moles will be flat and dark in color. Both, however, can be removed. Direct cutting would be performed for dark moles that are flat against the skin, and some stitching would also be needed. Removing moles via the method of excision is the best way to go about this. You may not be too happy having a mole on your cheek or your chin. They may even cause problems, when it comes to your looks. But do not get too tied up about it. Competent surgeons deftly excise the moles right out of your skin with no fuss at all. Before starting the excision process, surgeons will make the area numb by applying creams or injections. It will provide slight relief when the cutting starts. The mole region is also sterilized before surgery. The scalpel is the main tool used in both methods. Using the scalpel the surgeon cuts the mole and cuts even the border region surrounding the mole. The size of the border will vary from one person to another. The borders are a bit larger when dealing with cancerous moles. At times, the surgeons might feel that cancer might occur, if they use a small border size. Thus, the doctor might decide to increase the size. There are two main types of stitches that can be done. One type is used on deep skin regions. These stitches will thus be absorbed by the body and need not be removed. Meanwhile, the other type of stitches is for surface skin; therefore they would need to be removed after a time.
