Today we have three questions. First, we'll talk about how to get back in touch with your list if you have been out of commission for awhile. Then I'll talk about how to handle joint venture partners that want to bypass your squeeze page. Lastly, I'll give a quick tip on link cloaking software.
Question #1: I've been out of touch with my list for almost a year due to health issues. How do you'reinitiate contact? Should I give them some gifts and/or should I talk to them about the health issues?
Answer: Tell them why you weren't in contact. Let them know that you had health issues that prevented you from contacting them, but don't go into much detail. Make sure to first say that you are sorry for not communicating with them very much.
Be honest. Explain why you were out of commission. I wouldn't suggest giving them nitty gritty details, but give them enough explanation as to why you were gone.
Then give them a gift to tell them that you are sorry. People will most likely email you back and support you. They will enjoy getting the gift. Keep sending them your love and more gifts. They will warm up to you again.
Question #2: I am full scale into my product launch. To my disappointment last week, two of the bigger joint venture partners that I had on board told me that they are no longer promoting any of my products that drives their list to my squeeze page. They want to be able to send their traffic directly to my sales letter.
Here is the problem - both of these guys are pretty big players in my niche. However, I don't want to anger affiliates that are already sending traffic to my squeeze page. How do I handle this?
Answer: I would give the big players the link directly to the sales letter. I don't think the other affiliates will say anything. Make sure to tell the other affiliates the benefits of sending traffic directly to the squeeze page. For example, they will be cookied when they do this. So whenever their people buy, they will make more money.
You are probably not going to have an issue, so don't worry about letting the big players bypass your squeeze page. Let them do it. Ideally, you would like to have all their traffic driven to your squeeze page, but in some cases that is just not possible.
Question #3: Can you please suggest any good link cloaking software? Affiliates are griping that their URL is ugly.
Answer: I don't use any link cloaking software. However, one thing you could do for the affiliates that are griping is to buy URLS specifically for them. Make a redirect to their affiliate link back to your page. This will make the URL look better.
