Large bowel or colorectal cancer is the third most common form of the malady. And like its breast, skin and lung companions, colon cancer also kills. Arming yourself with all the information you can garner might be the only way you can stay alive. Yes, with colon cancer, as well as other forms of cancer, ignorance is NOT bliss!

You might want to consider some cancers as easy to treat. Well, colorectal cancer is not one of those. With a tumor so deep in your bowels, there simply isn't any way to reach it without some invasive process, or something. But early detection can go a long way to help. Isn't that why it's always recommended to constantly go for checkup to ensure you catch any cancer in good time before it spreads dangerously?

Very rarely can you escape chemotherapy when you have to deal with colon cancer. Painfull as this is, it comes only after you have been operated upon to remove the tumor itself. At least, the chief source of your problems has to be gotten rid of first, which is a very necessary first step to surviving the condition.

Colon cancer can only be treated through something of a lengthy, difficult and painful process. It often ends with a number of sessions of chemo, but that is often after you have endured quite a bit of discomfort with colonoscopy and surgery. As I said, it's quite a difficult process, but if started in good time, there are lots of chances that you might survive it.

Funny how a disease in your er, bowels could make you to lose all your hairs. Unlikely? Well, you are wrong too. The doctor mostly needs chemotherapy to top off all your colon cancer treatment. And chemotherapy causes you to lose your hairs. But isnt it better to just lose your hair and still survive the condition?

Your large intestine is the lower portion of your intestinal tract. It consists of the colon and rectum, and also includes your appendix. A cancer of this part of your body goes by many names. One is colon cancer, another is colorectal cancer, and the easiest one to remember is the large bowel cancer.

It is a fact that most people in the United States fear breast cancer more than they do any other disease that exists. For this reason, they get their breasts examined time and time again to make sure they are not infected. However curable tumors like the colorectal cancer are often neglected until cure is no longer an option.

The Canadian Cancer Society oversees cancer situations and records each year in Canada. In the United States, the American Cancer Society does the same. Canada records each year, about 20,000 new cases of colorectal cancer, while the US records a hundred thousand.
