What Makes The Caribbean A Beautiful Resort

Why is it when someone mentions a holiday, an image of a beach, hot blazing sun, clear blue sky and deep blue sea springs into mind? Perhaps it has been proven the most effective way to relax and end up looking much healthier. Furthermore, it happens to be the most popular method of enjoying your summer holiday breaks. One of the most popular destinations for a holiday timeout like this is a trip to the Caribbean resort.

The Caribbean resort has been well regarded for many years as the holiday hot spot, where some people can only imagine being swept away in. This is situated between Florida and South America with a chain of islands that divides the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. Most of the islands are well populated with other islands being derelict and shallow. Some of the islands with popular beach bars are built so low that they risk being hit by tidal waves.

In addition, the Caribbean resort has the best soft white fine sands that can only tickle in between your toes and massage the heels of your feet. What makes the sand so blindingly white in certain parts of the island is the due to the corals, which build a white limestone residue on the top. The Caribbean islands are originally volcanic; therefore, certain beaches may look like they have darker sands than others. Those with pink sands are so coloured due to the shells being grinded down by the waves.

One thing that remains impressive of the beaches, if it is not already impressive during the day, is how the sandy beaches glitter at night making the Caribbean resort a top choice romantic break away or a honeymoon destination. The islands have favoured well in the wedding celebration trends; currently more and more people are enjoying wedding ceremonies on a beach with the Caribbean islands being a number one choice.

The year round sunshine and warm calming weather makes this a further attractive spot. Many families have enjoyed taking short strolls and participating in activities that include various water sports and on some hotels active sports, including tennis and golf. Of course, the odd volleyball is no stranger to the beaches, which is most popular amongst young people.

The only things to watch out for when visiting the Caribbean are the sand flies. These are almost unnoticeable and in fact can often be unseen to the eye, but they are an irritant to the skin and they will bite. It is always best to try to avoid these by wearing shoes when walking on the sand late in the day. The palm trees have also been known to have a coconut or two drop from high lengths, which can cause injuries so it is always good to watch out when standing under them.

Other causes for concern are the tall manchineel trees, which have poisonous saps. During the rain, it is best not to stand under them, as they will cause blisters onto your skin if a single raindrop from the tree falls onto your skin. These trees can be identified by their height, which can reach up to 15 metres, their greyish brown bark, shiny green leaves that have spiky looking flowers and a fruit that resembles a green or yellowy green apple. They are found along the coastline of the beach and are hard to spot. They are not an abundantly growing plant in the Caribbean but they do creep up in specific spots and should be avoided.

One final thing about the Caribbean resort is its friendly locals and welcoming people. Nearly all of the hotels on the island, especially the Bahamas, are laden with exotic foods and glorious cocktails, are housed by friendly smiling staff who want nothing but to make your experience feel like a party every night. Many of the hotels have great beachfront views and a swimming pool.
