Toronto, March 2008 - The application of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for tracking animals and small objects has just become more efficient and user friendly than ever before. GAO RFID 125 kHz Low Frequency (LF) Glass RFID Tag Hitag-S – Passive is a perfect tag to aid in animal, small parts, medical parts identification, and similar asset tracking applications.
The LF Glass RFID Tag is contactless and read only operating in the 125 ± 6 kHz.(low frequency) with a capacity of 256 bits. This tag has a long durability as it is waterproof and dustproof making it useful for implantable pet identification tags or laundry management. It is also resistance to immersion in salt water, alcohol, oil, 10% HCL, Ammonia.
GAO RFID’s Glass RFID Tag’s main feature is that it is very robust and easy to install. Usually the tag is injected into animal via a syringe. The tag has a reading range of 2-3 cms (1 - 1.5 in.) when injected.
The Glass RFID Tag has a superior insensitivity to read interferences from liquids and metals. This LF Glass RFID Tag can be pre-programmed with specific IDs based on customer requirements. Once in place in a system, this RFID tag is reputed to be near maintenance free, which enables the tag to last for many years and be extremely cost effective.
