One of the nicest ways to personalize your wedding is to handcraft some of the items which you use. There can be nothing more meaningful than something beautiful made by the hands of the bride. Take a look at some of these charming DIY wedding paper crafts which are fun and easy to make.
The wedding stationery is always a good place to start when you want to add some handmade touches to your event. These days, it is possible to make wedding invitations which are every bit as attractive as those which you would buy in a store (of course, if you have your heart set on engraving or letterpress, you will need to go through a professional stationer). With a good quality printer, you can print your own invites on high quality paper...and that is only the beginning. Wedge the cards into a clear plexiglass box filled with rice or seaglass. Or get a little fancier and layer two patterned papers with a ribbon bow across the top. This idea would be especially sweet if the paper was cut into the shape of a bird and the cards were hung from a tree.
You can be really creative with escort cards when you make them yourself. What about handmade paper pinwheels with the name of the guest written on one blade? So fun for a summer wedding. Speaking of summer weddings, fans are always appreciated by guests on a hot afternoon. A practical and pretty idea is to make your wedding programs in the shape of paddle fans. Your guests will get to read about your wedding and cool themselves at the same time – perfect!
