Drinking ice cold soda, beer, or other types of drinks can be cool and refreshing. But, unless you are drinking water, using ice to keep your drinks cold can be a downer. Lets think about it, if your drink starts out ice cold, adding ice will not be a big problem at first, but after ten minutes at room temperature, that ice starts to warm up and melts into water. That is where the problem is. Water dilutes drinks and makes them taste bad. Fear not, there is a solution.
Ice chests, bottle coolers, special made cups, you name it, there are many ways to keep drinks cold without needing to place ice right in the cup. You can even use stones to keep your drink cold. No joke, just dont pick some off the ground, special stones can be gotten to use in drinks, all you have to do is freeze them like ice. Some cups have a chamber for ice or can be frozen, keeping the ice out of your drink.
Ice chests can keep drinks cold outside of the fridge. This is great for activity's outside. Cups with chambers remove the ice from the drink and still keep them cold. The stones replace ice altogether by mimicking the way ice keeps drinks cold. The only difference is, they do not melt.
Keeping drinks cold using a skin insulated the bottle or can. The heat on the outside, or the hot, stays away from the heat inside, or the cold. So you do not need ice. However, if the drink is not cold this will not be useful.
Using ice will always be a choice to keep your drinks cool, but using ice in the drink will be no more. Using ice chests, bottle and beer coolers, insulated cups, and rocks will make watery drinks no more then a bad memory. |
