Cell phones are undoubtedly the fastest growing and fastest changing technology ever been made in this lifetime. It evolves casually over a short period of time. Most companies release their brand new model almost monthly. This fast evolution from one model to another has brought more confusion to all buyers or consumers from practically everywhere. If you are a simple person however, it really does not matter what cell phone model you purchase as long as you still can use it in a practical manner of daily living.
But to obtain maximum functionality of any cell phone model you need to know how to use the cell phone properly. Cell phone battery is one of the essential parts of this technology. Your phone will not function well if you have defective battery to begin with. To truly care about the phone's battery, you need to know exactly when to recharge when it needs recharging. Follow instructions carefully especially when you bought a brand new cell phone with a brand new battery that comes along with it. Some will instruct you to charge the battery initially for 4 hours and some others will say 6 hours.
However, no matter how long the initial charging is, you need to follow this to obtain optimum performance of your cell phone. In any case that you are successful during this crucial step, you will now need your battery to last longer. Extending the battery life can be taken into consideration and is justifiable due to high cost of light bills nowadays even if it is only a small fraction of the light bill; it is still part of it. These days even how little you can save will matter. You can extend the battery life by reducing some miscellaneous activity like back lights. Also you can turn off your phone in areas where the signal is not that strong or is not there at all.
Other miscellaneous features that will cost you money without knowing it are JPEG images or wallpapers and ring tones. Sometimes they are offered free initially but once you fall into that trap, you will receive them regularly without you knowing that they subtract amounts to your prepaid credits or worst can pile up unknown expenditures in the case of post paid.
Here in the Philippines, we got two types of cell phone plan, the prepaid and the postpaid. Many people prefer prepaid cell phones because they can control their monthly expenditures. Whereas those of postpaid can pose to be so tempting that sometime we do not take care. Before we knew it, we are already under the spell of piling cell phone bills. There is absolutely no way of getting rid of this because this is the plan you chose to start with. However, for business people and other people who use their cell phones for important meetings and rendezvous it is very much advantageous if you use postpaid because then you do not have to worry about credit zero especially in the middle of a call. |
