Sometimes it happens that a person starts taking a drug to relieve his/her pain, which may be emotional, or physical, but when the affect of the drug wears off, he/she starts feeling the pain again. Such a situation only increases his/her frustration, and irritation.<br /> <br /> Some guilt of life may put a person on drugs. People who are of weak will power cannot face the situations, and use drugs to forget everything. What they do not understand is that such a drug might put their worries away for a while, but this is not a permanent solution.<br /> <br /> Drug addicts commit wrong acts to satisfy their cravings, against their family, friends, and themselves. Their wrong acts may include lying, ignorant of the feelings of loved ones, hiding truth from them, and cheating on them. It does not matter how much effort he/she puts in, because he/she does not have any control over himself/herself when his/her cravings increase, so he/she tends to act weirdly.<br /> <br /> There is a common belief that drug users can discontinue the use of drugs at their own will. People consider that the addicts have weak personalities, and they cannot decide for their good. New technology and research has removed many misconceptions. You can now find many drug rehabilitation centres in your area, where addicts can be cured to start over a new life.<br /> <br /> Drug addict is the stigma of a society. An addict has no future; one can expect anything from him/her. He/she can commit a sin or a crime anytime to fulfil his/her desire to consume drugs. He/she disrespects people, and in return, is never respected by others. People avoid addicts, and they are neglected not only by their friends, but also by their families.<br /> <br /> To cut the long story short, drug addiction makes you a bad person, because addiction makes you commit wrong acts, but they need support from society otherwise they do not have any chance of survival. The government should provide free treatment to such people.
