In part of their zeal in preaching, and their visits unannounced to doors, they have drawn the ire of both religious leaders, who might have an underlying fear of losing their flock from the zealous evangelizing efforts of the Witnesses, or from others who have become opposers, some of whom may have left the religion for one reason or another. As a result, a plethora of anti-Witness propaganda, and websites have germinated, much of it presenting information that is presented in a biased manner designed largely to discredit Jehovah's Witnesses at all costs (the end justifies the means). sorting out the true from the propaganda might be difficult for most average readers or for the casual researcher. This PBS Documentary does a very good job of presenting a multi faceted and humanistic view of the Jehovah's Witness religion, it's website can help one to get a fair view of both beliefs and controversies surrounding the Jehovah's Witness religion. It includes footage on medicine and the Witnesses, showing a liver transplant in all its detail, with a self sacrificing father donating to his son, who also happens to be an avid hard-rock guitar player. The producers of this documentary, neither of whom are members of Jehovah's Witnesses, one who was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, but not himself being one, endeavor through this footage to demonstrate both the fact that even strong Jehovah's Witnesses are basically like anyone else, not necessarily so constrained by organizational or Biblical censure as the average teenager, and yet at the same time to show the emotional sacrifice of a committed father making what appears to be a supreme sacrifice for risking his own life, the surgery performed successfully without blood, as Bible-based stand of the Jehovah's Witness beliefs. (See Acts 15:28,29, where the scriptural commandments for Christians to abstain from idolatry. Even though most other Christian faiths feel that this involves only the practice of eating animal blood, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that this command applies to human blood as well, which would include the modern medical practice involving blood transfusions). Additionally, the video gives insight into the history of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Holocaust, with a Jehovahs Witness survivor of the Nazi concentration camps, as well as his progeny, some of whom are not Jehovah's Witnesses, and their gaining insight into the tremendous emotions that their grandfather experienced in reliving his past trials at the hands of the Nazis (thousands of Witnesses suffered alongside the Jews in Nazi concentration camps). Included also is an interview with a an official from the Witnesses in Brooklyn, which gives an added element of authority to this presentation. from the perspective of a Jehovah's Witness, the video accurate and fair in its presentation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
