It is also more affordable than hand knotted and is able to with stand foot traffic for years.<br /> <br /> Pile Weave These rugs are created on weaving loom machine that ties knots to create the pattern. These tufting machinery are usually 12 or 15 feet wide, and it is used to make most of the rugs in the U.S. that are tufted.
