About 1170 Fredrick I, the Holy Roman Emperor granted Chemnitz the rights of an Imperial city. The owner of this museum has donated the collection to the museum so that visitors here can appreciate the beauty and skill which was needed to create these masterpieces. This garden is called the Botanischer Garten Chemnitz.<br /> <br /> You could also think about visiting a non profit garden which specializes in artic and alpine plants. This garden is the Arktisch Alpiner Garten der Walter Meusel Stiftung. Here you will be able to see some fine examples of plants and flowering plants which can exist in alpine and artic temperatures.
