The last and final reason your computer is probably freezing is a combination of those two, mixed with a very dirty computer. Lost or missing files, invalid file paths, lose keys, all of those things will run your computer slower, and make it freeze more.<br /> <br /> A few things you can do to prevent your computer from freezing is not run a lot of programs at once. Although you might want to surf the Internet, edit pictures, and download music at the same time, don't. You can't do all of that at the SAME EXACT TIME any ways, do close two of them and just do one at a time. Limewire is the WORST program to run while doing anything else. It is a huge program, plus when downloading songs you are usually downloading viruses. So just try running one program and maybe another if you must, only if it's small though.<br /> <br /> Last and most important, save up to buy a registry cleaner...you will need it. It will run you about $20.00 - 45.00 but the money is worth it. The biggest thing is registry errors. Running the scan and fixing up the problems will definitely make your computer run faster.
