There is a lot of competition and marketing on the internet is NOT for the weak at heart.There are various ways to approach making money on the net. One way is list building. First you need a product to sell and next you need a "squeeze page."All your marketing guides your prospects to that squeeze page where you offer something for free to start to build a relation with that person. Give them something worth while! Please don't have a one page report that says "buy my stuff 'cause it's the best."The report has to be worth while for two reasons. First they are "buying" that report with their e-mail. They know that you going to e-mail them with offers or information, so make it worth their while to join your list.People will not respond well if you give them junk. They will lose the trust in you to deliver quality and they will simply unsubscribe!There are a lot of ways to generate the traffic (leads) to your squeeze page. That is another science that we will address in later articles. But here are two ideas...The best way seems to be to invest lots of your money and buy the leads. One scenario costs you $100 for something like Adwords. You buy 1000 "leads." Out of the 1000 clicks, maybe 200 people sign up for your list. So you pay about 50 cents for each sign up. 2000 names? $1,000 dollars invested. Ouch. Not great way to start if you are short on cash.Why would anyone want to sign up in the first place? It appears that we put the horse before the cart. First you need something to trade those people for their e-mail. See how to get all the tips at once at the end of this article. Now did I confuse you?There is a way to get started with no out of pocket cost. It is commonly called "bum marketing." Let us clarify the moniker. The idea is that you could take a bum off the street, go to an internet connection at the library and show them how to start earning a living.To summarize: To build your list you need traffic that you generate from marketing to your squeeze page where the prospects trade their email for your free, substantive report.
