He called you when he got to his destination (tell them LA or Tokyo or Paris) and told you he needs you to go out and get a gift for his girlfriend. He said to spend up to $200 and he'll pay you back. The problem is, you don't know what to get her and so you're asking them to help out.<br /> <br /> What's beautiful about this strategy is that the girls, whatever they suggest, will be revealing information about themselves. If one of the girls, for instance, recommends that you get the girlfriend a gift certificate for a day at a spa, you've learned something crucial about the girl who made the suggestion - that she loves to be pampered. If a girl suggests expensive things, accessories like Prada and YSL, you can be pretty confident that she also likes those costly accessories. Think about how useful this information can be - especially if you're patient and work at it, getting the girls to give you advice beyond the obvious. What if a girl tells you to get the girlfriend a book of poetry by a particular author?<br /> <br /> Dating for Dummies - Women love men with a good sense of humor, and this approach will highlight yours.<br /> <br /> The first step is to go out and get a book on dating - one of the more insipid ones, with a title like "Dating for Dummies" or something really obvious like that.<br /> <br /> Carry it with you whenever you think you might run into women to meet. Sit down and open it up to the chapter about pickup lines you should never, ever use. Sometimes, a little help is called for. Put the routines here to work - try them out yourself a few times and get a feel for them and for approaching women.
