It is important to be comfortable when you are not surrounded by people; needing to be around a bunch of people is a crutch that truly independent people do not need.<br /> <br /> Try to find a hobby you can do alone, or pick up a book and read. Reading is a great way to spend time with yourself, and any solo hobby gives you the chance to find things that you like and get to know yourself better.<br /> <br /> Get out of your comfort zone and be adventurous. Try new things, things you may not be comfortable with. At first, it may seem like a chore, but after a while you will adapt and get used to it.<br /> <br /> Last but not least, don't force yourself to become introverted if you are not. Learning how to alone does not mean you should for six the company of others all the time.
